We now know that it’s not the case that “traditional families”, e.g. stay-at-home-mom and a father who works outside the home, produce better adjusted children.

Given that information, why do so many corporations not offer childcare for their workers?  Would it be a bad idea to offer workers “daycare” memberships, much like fitness club memberships? Wouldn’t both go a long way towards keeping workers more productive and better able to focus on their work?

With the economy the way it is and with our corporations sitting on so much cash, maybe this would be the time to get creative about the relationship between working environments and employee productivity.  Read more...
