Our ancestors Dreamed for today. We are dreamers for today, tomorrow and a 2016 woman for America & the world
Last night I came across a very nice gentleman. After few exchanges, I handed him my card. He asked if I was a feminist. I asked, what’s your definition of a feminist? He responded by saying “women who are for women progression, justice and rights and so on.” I responded by saying YES, and I think everyone should too and he agrees. He asked do I believe Secretary Hillary Rodham should run in 2016. The answer is I love Hillary, she has fought for all of us; however I do not believe she should run.
I changed the title of this article from sexism to asking the question after a conversation with a great friend. The definition of a feminist according to directionary.com is advocating social, political, legal, and economic rights for women equal to those of men. Feminism according to wiki is a collection of movements aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights and equal opportunities for women. Feminism is mainly focused on women’s issues, but because feminism seeks gender equality, some feminists argue that men’s liberation is therefore a necessary part of feminism, and that men are also harmed by sexism and gender roles.
