Mandates, Women’s’ Rights and Religious Freedom -Comes Down to Human Beings (Women)

“A woman knows how to keep quiet when she is in the right, whereas a man, when he is in the right, will keep on talking.”  Malcolm de Chazal

After reading the WSJ opinion on this complex issue, I tried to think of the complexities women face. And the men in charge of making decisions for women. It would be simple to hear from the horses’ mouths on this issue. There’s one problem, the horses have little power to speak their mind at the level they would want.  Therefore we are mute but don’t assume we are not working.  This issue is so complex because of limited number of women leading both in government and the churches.  When people ask “Where are the “pro-choice” voices now when the choices of those of us who disagree with paying for another’s lifestyle choice are being taken away by the government?”  I say, you are the choice; the pro-choice women are women who are unable to speak at this time because of fear or simply not sure what to do on this one. This should not be a pro-choice or pro-life issue.  Because underneath of all of us, we are all pro-choice, otherwise we would not be living in the United States of America, the land where people can be free.  Perhaps the issue here is that both government and church are infringing on women’s rights and religious freedom. The men in the churches and government should stay out of this issue and let women figure it out, by promoting them to positions to deal with this issue and many others. Ladies, we are living a reality, which you have the right to change by voting, getting engage in your community and promoting women who can speak on our behalf.  No one is in a tougher place now than women on this vital issue, however they are silent. Instead of asking women groups to speak up, let’s ask church and the government to put women in leadership positions to address what matters to us.
